Alcohol: 15.3%
Fermented in open topped fermenters. Aged for 29 months in 100% new American Oak.
Aromatics: Smells of stewed prunes, dark damson plums, brambleberry and spice (nutmeg & cloves.)
Palate: This is a big, beautiful wine with smooth texture and nice mouthfeel. Initial notes of spice (nutmeg and cloves) and soft, but evident wood tannins. The mid-palate is filled with mixed berry fruit and finishes with pretty caramel notes. The wine has plenty of acidity, which holds everything together.
Color: Dark burgundy or crimson
Food Pairings: This wine will pair well with a charcuterie plate, charred meats like Argentinian barbecue, roasted ham, or chocolate ice cream.
