Alcohol: 15.3%
Fermented in open topped fermenters. Aged for 21 months in 100% new Russian Oak.
Aromatics: Smells of pretty boysenberry, dark fruit, and earth
Palate: This beautiful wine has a lush and velvety texture with bright acid upfront, followed by dark berry flavors. It then hits you tobacco, smoke, and slightly grippy tannins and finishes with bright acids and slightly grippy tannins generating a long, lingering finish. This is a big, but beautiful and textured wine.
Color: Dark garnet with violet hues on the rim. Almost opaque.
Food Pairings: Ribeye steak, Pot Roast, Filet Mignon with Blue Cheese, Carne Asada, and/or Chocolate Ice Cream.
When to drink: It’s beautiful now and should continue to improve over the next 5+ years. This wine should be lovely for at least 10 years in the cellar.
